Happy Wednesday everyone. In the same spirit of last Wednesdays Washi Wednesday I have an Easter theme for you - this time a card.

Today I have created a punch art bunny and used the washi tape for my background. The sentiment for this card is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments.

The bunny matches with the Curvy Box I made last week. I love how these work together.

WASHI WEDNESDAY #8

Welcome once again to Washi Wednesday. I hope you have been enjoying this series as much as I have. Today I have a 3D project for you - a Curvy Keepsake Bunny ready for Easter.

As you can see I used the Pop of Pink washi to add a little texture and interest to the bunny's nose and inside its ears. Sometimes a little washi is all we need.

Happy Wednesday everyone!

I know I missed last week, due to a blog hop commitment but as requested I have another washi Wednesday for you today. This time I have used the washi tape as a background feature.

The sentiment for this Thank you card is from Suite Sentiments, stamped in Melon Mambo. The bling on the card is actually rhinestones that are coloured black with a sharpie marker.

As with most uses for washi, it is a quick way to create interest on a project. If you haven't given washi a chance, I suggest that you do. Feel free to share any of your ideas, as I am sure that the uses are almost never ending.

Hi everyone I hope your week has been wonderful. It's Wednesday here in Australia, so time for another Washi Wednesday on my blog.

This time I have made a book mark.

I used the Scalloped Tag Topper punch to create the top of the bookmark. I used the Flourishing Phrases and stamped it in Memento Black. I then finished it off by adding a few pieces of Pop of Pink Designer Washi Tape.

Hi and welcome to the 5th post in my Washi Wednesday series.

One of the wonderful factors of washi tape, is how quickly it is to use. Today I am giving you an example of a way to quickly use washi to give a room a little pop of colour.

I removed the light switch  cover from my daughters room while she was outside playing - sneaky. I gave it a quick wipe down with some rubbing alcohol to clean the surface.

I simply added strips of the different washi to the cover.

If she decides at any point that she no longer likes pink or just wants a change, it is easy to remove with little fuss or time.

Hello everyone and welcome to the third in my series of using washi tape.
Today I would like to share a quick project I made using a note pad, some stamps and a little washi.

It is a pretty simple project. I used a square whisper white cardstock and stamped my images using the Flourishing Phrases set. I then added a strip of washi to the top and the bottom to attach it to the front of my notebook.

Washi Wednesday #3

Wednesday is certainly coming around fast these days. Welcome once again to my Washi Wednesday series.

This time I used a mat piece of card stock and covered it with Moroccan Designer Washi Tape to create an interesting background.

I then used the Perfectly Wrapped stamp set for my sentiment "Happy Day". I often use a sentiment that can be used for many different occasions as it makes cards a little more versatile. I used the Tags & Labels Framelits to lift the sentiment off the background.

Today's project has also been entered into the current The Papers Players Challenge #332

Washi Wednesday #2

Welcome to the second in my series on using Washi Tape. This week we will look at another way to use Washi on a card.

Once again I have used it as an element on my card but in a slightly different way. I have used the washi to make flags for my banner. This technique is a very simple but yet an effective way to add a pop of colour and design to a card.

I simply grabbed some twine, in this case Melon Mambo to co-ordinate with the washi choice, added small pieces of washi and cut a small triangle out of each piece.

To complete my card I used the Birthday Bright stamp set from the 2017 Occasions catalogue, for the sentiment and the balloon in the corner.

Washi Wednesday #1

I have had a lot of people asking me "how do I use Washi tape?", so over the next few weeks I will do some Washi Wednesday blog posts to give you some ideas to get you started.

Now I must admit I rarely think of using washi. With so many fun products to choose from, it doesn't surprise me that something is forgotten. Washi is a low tack tape and it is so easy to use. It is a quick and simple way to add that little something to any project or home décor.

Today I am going to use Moroccan Designer Washi Tape.

I have decided for the first project in my series on using washi tape I would make a card. I chose to use the washi as a way to decorate one of the elements.

Firstly I started by putting some washi on some whisper white cardstock.

Then I cut out my image. In this case it was the wreath from the Wonderful Wreath Framelits.

I then used this element on my card by popping it, using dimensionals and adding a sentiment.

Nice, quick and simple.

I love the way this card turned out. It was so quick and easy to put together. You can use the same simple technique and cut out whatever shape that suits your needs. Always remember that framelits are just shapes. This set was designed to be used for Christmas, but there is nothing to say that you can't find other uses for them, like I have here. In a very similar way, the stamp set I choose to use is aimed for "birthdays" but I have used it to make a card that can be used to celebrate any occasion.
