INK & INSPIRATION BLOG HOP - WATERCOLOUR

Today I am participating in the Ink & Inspiration Design Team Blog Hop. This months theme is : Watercolour. You are currently visiting Rosalie Desmond from Australia.

I used some glossy paper with some reinkers and Aqua painters to create a background. I wanted the colours to remain true, so I allowed the background to dry naturally. This process can be sped by using a heat gun on number 1, however, it does change the colour a little.

I then used stamps from Butterfly Basics in Black  Memento. The sentiment "hello" is from the Flourishing Phrases. As a final touch, I brushed on some wink of stella to the cut out butterfly image.

Measurements:

Thick Whisper White Card Base 29.6 x 10.5cm, scored at 14.8cm
Basic Black Layer 14.3 x 9.5cm
Glossy Paper 13.8 x 9cm
Scrap Whisper White to stamp the butterfly on

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoy the blog hop,
Rosalie

WASHI WEDNESDAY #6

Hi everyone I hope your week has been wonderful. It's Wednesday here in Australia, so time for another Washi Wednesday on my blog.

This time I have made a book mark.

I used the Scalloped Tag Topper punch to create the top of the bookmark. I used the Flourishing Phrases and stamped it in Memento Black. I then finished it off by adding a few pieces of Pop of Pink Designer Washi Tape.

Thanks for joining,
Rosalie

Washi Wednesday #4

Hello everyone and welcome to the third in my series of using washi tape.
Today I would like to share a quick project I made using a note pad, some stamps and a little washi.

It is a pretty simple project. I used a square whisper white cardstock and stamped my images using the Flourishing Phrases set. I then added a strip of washi to the top and the bottom to attach it to the front of my notebook.

Thank you for stopping by,
Rosalie

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with our special guest Frenchie Martin

It's not every day that you get to blog hop with someone you have been admiring for what seems like forever. That is, unless you are in the Crazy Crafter team, then you get to join forces with some amazingly talented people every month!

This month we have the privilege to be hopping with Frenchie Martin. We are CASEing (Copy And Selectively Edit) any project that she created. We hope you find great inspiration from the projects.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Rosalie Desmond or may have come from the person previous to me.  Be sure to click on the person listed under me further down the page to continue your journey on this blog hop.

When selecting which project I was going to CASE, I kept going back to the same project - Watercolour Joseph Coat. This is Frenchie's card that I CASEd.

For more information about this technique please check out Frenchie's blog.

I don't remember seeing this technique before and just loved the look. So I took this opportunity to give it a go. I used a slightly different take on Frenchie's project - I sponged my colours before I embossed rather than water colouring.

This first card uses the Flourishing Phrases stamp set. I sponged using Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Emerald Envy, then clear embossed the images and covered the paper in Dapper Denim.

I loved the look of this technique so much that I just had to try it with different stamp sets. This time I used the Vintage Leaves set. Sponged in Melon Mambo, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Emerald Envy, then clear embossed the images and covered the paper in Dapper Denim.

This is my third card, this time using the Sheltering Tree Stamp Set. I sponged in Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Real Red. Clear embossed the images over the sponging and covered the paper in Dapper Denim.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the remainder of the blog hop,
