GO FOR GREECE BLOG HOP AUGUST 2018

Today I am joining the Go For Greece Blog Hop. In this hop, lots of lovely members of the Go For Greece Training Group have joined forces to inspire you.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Rosalie Desmond or may have come from the person previous to me. Be sure to click on the person listed under me further down the page to continue your journey on this blog hop.

While this card design is simple, I also find it very elegant. Due to the sentiment "Amazing You" this card can be used for a variety of occasions.

I love to stretch my stamp sets and look outside the norm. I have done this with Hold On To Hope set. This set is a religious set which is very useful for projects that are for occasions such as Baptisms, Christenings, Confirmations or Sympathy. By simply using a different sentiment, in this case die cuts from Celebrate You thinlit set, I  have been able to use some of the images to create a heat embossed background.

For more details on how to make this card, please check out my video.

This card design would work with any card stock colour.

Thank you for joining me today. I hope you find lots of inspiration,

Rosalie

Welcome once again to a Crazy Crafters Blog Hop. This time we are CASEing (Copy And Selectively Edit) any project that has been created by Janneke de Jong. I love her wonderful work. You should check out her blog. We hope you find great inspiration from todays projects.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Rosalie Desmond or may have come from the person previous to me. Be sure to click on the person listed under me further down the page to continue your journey on this blog hop.

This is what I was inspired to create.

I love how simple and quick it is to use the star punch to make the elements for this card.

Added some white twine and a little Wink of Stella to the stars to give it some bling.

This is the card of Janneke's that I CASEd today.

Washi Wednesday #1

Happy Wednesday!

I have had a lot of people asking me "how do I use Washi tape?", so over the next few weeks I will do some Washi Wednesday blog posts to give you some ideas to get you started.

Now I must admit I rarely think of using washi. With so many fun products to choose from, it doesn't surprise me that something is forgotten. Washi is a low tack tape and it is so easy to use. It is a quick and simple way to add that little something to any project or home décor.

Today I am going to use Moroccan Designer Washi Tape.

Moroccan Designer Washi Tape  (141647)

I have decided for the first project in my series on using washi tape I would make a card. I chose to use the washi as a way to decorate one of the elements.

Firstly I started by putting some washi on some whisper white cardstock.

Then I cut out my image. In this case it was the wreath from the Wonderful Wreath Framelits.

I then used this element on my card by popping it, using dimensionals and adding a sentiment.

Nice, quick and simple.

I love the way this card turned out. It was so quick and easy to put together. You can use the same simple technique and cut out whatever shape that suits your needs. Always remember that framelits are just shapes. This set was designed to be used for Christmas, but there is nothing to say that you can't find other uses for them, like I have here. In a very similar way, the stamp set I choose to use is aimed for "birthdays" but I have used it to make a card that can be used to celebrate any occasion.

Thank you for stopping by. Looking forward to next Wednesday to see what other uses we can find for our Washi.

Today we celebrate you!

I've been on a roll with this stamp set this week. I do love the versatility of Enjoy the Little Things from the 2016 Occasions Catalogue.

This time I decided to go with a blue theme and utilise one of the square stamps to create my own special background.

This card design could just as easily be made girlie by simply changing the colours, or you could even give it a rainbow effect by changing the colour each time you stamp the background. I may even do one tomorrow to show you how it comes up.

Celebrate Every day

Following on from yesterday, I have used the same DSP stack with the same stamp set. Enjoy the Little Things is a great combination with the Love Blossoms DSP. If you seen the new 2016 Occasions catalogue I suggest take a look as there are some amazing new products

This time I decided to gold emboss my sentiment to make it "pop" off the page.

Celebrate the little things

Today I have another sneak peek from the 2016 Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalogue.

On this card I have used two of the new sets. The floral images are from "Botanical Blooms", and the sentiment is from "Enjoy The Little Things". I love the detail it allows in the flowers.

PLEASE NOTE: These new items will be available for order from 5 January 2016 - 31 May 2016

Celebrate so many things - Freshly Made Sketches #200

Sometimes it is great to have some cards on hand that can be used for many purposes. This card fits that bill perfectly. The term "celebrate" can be used for birthdays, engagements, graduation, work promotion, and I'm sure the list can go on and on.

While making this card I learnt a valuable lesson. The white craft ink on wood elements takes much longer to dry than I expect.

Luckily there was an easy fix. Simply cut another piece of black card stock and glue it on top.

Today's card was made for the Freshly Made Sketches #200 challenge. 200 sketches, can you believe that! Such a huge number.

Tip of the day: Heat tool on number 1, makes drying time faster.
