Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Shannon Lane

Welcome once again to a Crazy Crafters Blog Hop. This time we are CASEing (Copy And Selectively Edit) any project that has been created by Shannon Lane. I love her creativity is just amazing. You should check out her blog. We hope you find great inspiration from todays projects.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Rosalie Desmond or may have come from the person previous to me.  Be sure to click on the person listed under me further down the page to continue your journey on this blog hop.

This is what Shannon inspired me to make.

Here is where the inspiration came from.

http://crushoncolour.blogspot.com.au/2016/11/artisan-nov-1.html

My project began with this frame from IKEA.

I started by creating my phrase using Brushwork Alphabet with black stazon on a window sheet cut to size.

I then created flowers using these are the colours.

I used the Botanical Builder Framelits and Botanical Blooms stamp set to create the flowers and leaves.

I hope I have given you some inspiration from my blog post today.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy the rest of the blog hop,
Rosalie

Building a candle

Crafting is not just about card making. Sometimes I like to dress up some ordinary household items and make them a little special.

I used the Botanical Builder Framelits and the Botanical Blooms stamp set to make these cute flowers. I combined them with some burlap ribbon and placed them on a white candle to create a "just a little something" present for someone special.

Today's blog post will be a featured project on Kylie Bertucci's Crazy Crafter Team Project Highlights from 6.30pm AEDT. If you like my project, please follow the link and vote for me. Don't forget to check out the other amazing projects from just a few of the Crazy Crafters.

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with our special guest Allison Okamitsu

Time for another Crazy Crafters Blog Hop. I always look forward to these and it becomes even more exciting when we have a special guest joining us. This time we have the amazing Allison Okamitsu playing along with us. If you haven't seen her work yet, take a long look at her blog. There sure is some wonderful projects there to get your crafting juices flowing.

This month we are all excited to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) any project that has been created by Allison. We hope you find great inspiration from the projects.

This was a tough choice, so many lovely projects to choose from Allison is one talented lady. For some reason one card in particular stood out for me, so I thought I would give it a go.

As it goes with crafting sometimes nothing seemed to work. I loved the look of Allison's card and I so wanted mine to look just as stunning. Well my first problem was I do not own filter paper and I wanted, no needed that look. So I tried to create a similar look by scrunching up vellum.

Well it kind of worked, it did give me texture and Allison's card had lots of different textures so it was definitely in the same spirit.

To be honest with you this card just didn't turn out the way I pictured it in my head. I decided that I would still share it with you today, as everyone has different tastes and it may please someone. But I did decide to give it another go and see what else I could come up with.

For this card I used whisper white card stock, scrunched it up and then sponged some blushing bride to highlight the lines I had created in the card. The next layer I distressed and then sponged the edges with blushing bride as well.

Which card do you like the best?

Thanks for stopping by and please check out all the other amazing projects in this hop,

Celebrate the little things

Today I have another sneak peek from the 2016 Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalogue.

On this card I have used two of the new sets. The floral images are from "Botanical Blooms", and the sentiment is from "Enjoy The Little Things". I love the detail it allows in the flowers.

PLEASE NOTE: These new items will be available for order from 5 January 2016 - 31 May 2016

Crazy Crafters and Pootlers December Blog Hop

This month our blog hop is extra special. The Crazy Crafters (an Australian team) are combining forces with the Pootlers (a UK team).

If you are not familiar with these guys I suggest that you take a look sometime soon as they all do some amazing blogging and some fab tutorials. A huge thank you to Kylie Bertucci and Sam Donald for organising this across the sea hop.

Our Blog Hop for December will be a Sneak Peek from the 2016 Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalogues. I am sure you are going to find some amazing projects.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Rosalie Desmond or may have come from Fiona Badley's blog. If you get off track at any time, the list of the full lineup is towards the bottom of this post.

For my project I created a wedge box out of basic black cardstock. The DSP I choose for this box is a sheet from the "It's My Party" designer series paper stack from the 2016 Occasions Catalogue which will be available for purchase from the 5th of January.

I then decorated the box using the "Botanical Builder Framelits" to create the flowers. These framelits are amazing. As you can see in the picture below the flower pops out. This is all done by the framelit I did nothing special to create this effect. So quick and simple.

I then used the silver mini brads to hold the flower pieces together, at the same time adding a touch of silver to the flower centres.

The leaves were also part of the Botanical Builder framelit set. However with these I heat embossed the veins in silver, using the "Botanical Blooms" stamp set. These two items will be available either individually or as a bundle.

PLEASE NOTE: These new items will be available for order from 5 January 2016 - 31 May 2016
