FOIL-EDGED CARDS & ENVELOPES

Sometimes we need to make quick and simple cards but we still want them to look special, which is were the gold foil-edged cards & envelopes come in handy.

This card is quick and easy to make using a little designer series paper and some gold embossed stamped images.

The berries have been coloured in with the real red Stampin' Write maker to create bold coloured berries which give a lovely contrast to the gold embossing.

To see how I made the card, check out the video below.

In no time, you will have yourself a handful of cards to give to friends and family.

Until next time, happy crafting.

CRAZY CRAFTERS BLOG HOP WITH DENA REKOW

Welcome once again to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop. This time we are CASEing (Copying And Selectively Editing) any project that has been created by Dena Rekow. Thank you for joining us today. We hope that you enjoy today's blog hop.

You may just of started here at my blog- Rosalie Desmond or you may of come from the previous person. Be sure to click on the person under me, which is listed further down the page to continue on with the hop.

CASEing Dena was so much fun. Here is what she inspired me to create.

This is the card that I took my inspiration from. For more details about how you can re-create Dena's project click here.

I loved the layout in Dena's card, so used it to base my card around. I used elements from the Tropical Escape Suite (p. 121 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue), including the Tropical Chic stamp set, Tropical Thinlits and the Tropical Escape 6" x 6" DSP.

To add just a little bit of glitz to the card I used the Champagne Mist shimmer paint with a sponge dauber on the scalloped square.

Make sure that you visit all the other blogs in today's hop to gain lots of ideas for your future crafting.

Happy hopping,

QUICK CARD WITH SCRAPS

Today I am sharing a super quick and easy Christmas card which uses some scraps that were sitting on my desk from another project.

I love using up all the pieces of the Designer Series Paper (DSP) and making the most of the resources I have.  Cutting shapes out of your DSP to create themed images is a simple way to produce or even mass-produce cards for a particular occasion.

The Under The Mistletoe DSP is on page 189 of the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue. The paper in this pack is a mix of pine cone, poinsettia, and plaid designs, with some Christmas images thrown in. So it contains a good variety of themes within the one pack.

The sentiment I chose to add is from the Merry Christmas to All. It is a combination of "from us" & "to you". I have found this stamp set very useful as I have a choice of large phrases or smaller ones, that can be combined which makes it a very flexible set.

To see how I created this quick and fun card, see the YouTube video below.

To ground the trees and separate the them from the sentiment I put a strip of Shaded Spruce card stock on the card.

Until next time. Happy crafting,

CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE STAMP-A-THON 2018 - CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS

Welcome to the latest Christmas Challenge Stamp-a-thon.  This is a collaboration between four Stampin' Up! Demonstrators friends. Ruth Trice 'Artful Stampin' from the UK, Denise Garrison 'Lady Bug Stampin' from USA, Ellen Woodbridge from Australia and myself. . The Challenge is set on the 25th of the month, each month has a different theme. The challenge this month is to make at least 4 Christmas decorations.

What a perfect opportunity to create some personalised decorations for either your house or your Christmas tree. I found this challenge, a real challenge. Not because it was too difficult but because I had so many ideas of possibilities running through my brain.

For this challenge I have decided to make an ornament for my tree (which doesn't go up until December 1st in our house). Thinking of decorations is means that Christmas is not far off now.

The ornament is created from two rosettes which were made by using strips of All Is Bright Designer Series Paper. A pearlized doilie and a good foiled reindeer cut out using the Detailed Deer Thinlit dies, complete the decoration.

For further details on this project, please see the video attached.

These Christmas decorations are fun to make. It's hard to stop with just one. Lucky I had to make 4 for the challenge :)

If you would like to join us in the challenge or would like some inspiration from other people's entries, you will find the Christmas Challenge Stampaton 2018 on facebook.

Until next time. Happy crafting,

PUZZLE GIFT WITH STORAGE BOX

The moment I saw the puzzle die in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue I knew that I had to make this project. I've had this one done for awhile but as life is crazy, it has taken me awhile to actually share it with you.

The puzzle itself takes mere moments to create as the thinlit does all the work for us. The storage box takes a little longer, but not by much.

These puzzle sets would make wonderful gifts to add to a loot bag after a child's birthday party or a super cute table enhancement at the Christmas table. By simply changing the Designer Series Paper you use, you can instantly change the theme.

To see just how quick and easy these are to make, take a look at my YouTube. If you like my videos, don't forget to subscribe to stay up to date on all my latest creations.

Until next time. Happy crafting,
Rosalie

Purple Hugs

One of my latest favourite stamps sets is the Healing Hugs stamp set. This set is one of the distinctive stamp sets , which means these stamps create different opacities in a single stamped image for realistic depth and intensity. The are very simple to use. You just ink up the image in the desired colour and let the stamp do the work.

For this card I used a square of Whisper White to stamp the rose image on and then used a mat of basic black. I stamped the sentiment on a piece of whisper white and cut it out using the Everyday Label punch and cut a little off both the top and the bottom to create a new shape.

Happy crafting,
Rosalie

BABY SHOWER MOMENTS

Not only was I lucky enough to be going to my nieces baby shower for baby no.2 but it also meant that I had an opportunity to use the Wonderful Moments stamp set.

This set was one of the first sets that stood out to me in the 2018-2019 Annual catalogue. I love sets that are multi purpose such as this one. Between the sentiments and the images so many

FAVORITE SALE-A-BRATION OR OCCASIONS CATALOGUE PRODUCTS - KYLIE'S INTERNATIONAL BLOG HIGHLIGHTS

One of my new favourite sets which is in the current Sale-a-Bration catalogue is the Party Pandas set. I couldn't believe my eyes when I first saw this in the catalogue, so super cute and FREE with orders over $90AUS.

This card was created for my gorgeous 1 year Great Nephew in celebration of his 1st birthday.

I love this little panda, he is so much fun, easy to stamp and just needed to add a little colour. The bright colours in the strip of paper from the Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper (1441118) gave me my colour inspiration for my card, with some Bermuda Bay (my favourite colour) thrown in.

The sentiment I used "Happy Birthday" is from the same set, Party Pandas and the number 1 was die cut using the Large Number Framelits (140622).

For the inside of my card I used the balloon portion of one of the panda stamps to further create the birthday theme.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Although I love ribbon, love both the feel and the look, I have a tendency not to use it often. I broke that tradition with these cards today.

Both of these cards are using the 2017-2019 In-colours. Both are the same design, just with different colours.

The matching 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon is so soft, its a delight to tie into a bow.

First Layer 14.2 x 10cm

INSIDE THE LINES SALE-A-BRATION

Only 14 more days left of Sale-a-Bration!!!!

Only 14 more days for you to earn FREE products or to make the most of the joining special.

One of the first things I choose during Sale-a-Bration was the Inside the Lines Designer Paper. I earned it for FREE with a purchase of $90.  The moment I saw the catalogue, I just had to have it. The Inside the Lines Designer Paper uses an adult colouring art for its concept.

This time I used Stampin' Write markers to colour the paper. I used three colours to create this design.

The sentiment for this card comes from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set.

I used Bermuda Bay, Smokey Slate and Basic Black in this card. I love how these colours work together. Once I started putting this card together I knew straight away who it was for and stamped my sentiment accordingly. Now to get it to them :)

Thanks for joining me today,
Rosalie
