OH, HELLO FRIEND

Sometimes it is fun to play with painting with ink. This time I had go at painting with one of the new in-colours Powder Pink.

I love the look of these colours together.

The Powder Pink element that the sentiment is on was created by the solid flower framelit.

OH SO...

It seems like everyday I am finding new favourite products. Todays excitement is the Oh So Eclectic Bundle.

The background was created using the half flower from the Oh So Eclectic Stamp Set in Peek-a-boo Peach, Daffodil Delight, Powder Pink and Lemon Lime Twist.

The floral elements are stamped with images from the stamp set and then cut using Eclectic Layers Thinlits.

Bump those elements up on some dimensionals and your done.

AVANT-GARDEN DURING SALE-A-BRATION

PICTURE PERFECT FLOWERS

My lovely friend Ruth Trice from Artful Stampin (a UK demonstrator) recently made a beautiful  card using the Picture Perfect stamp set. It inspired me to make this card.

I love the triple stamping that is involved with making these flowers. You get to build your image using ink and the stamps in the set.

The background piece was created using the Touches of Texture stamp set. I used a few of the stamps in this set to build up the background until I was happy with the texture and colour that it created.

Having a play with my FREE Avant-Garden stamp set and Irresistibly Floral DSP.

I usually colour the irresistibly floral papers but this time I decide to leave it white. Due to the embossing, which is part of the papers, it provides texture without me having to do anything. This paper is perfect for the time-poor crafter.

This stamp set is so easy to use. One of the stamps in the set is a group of spots, which makes a great background and adds texture to the look of the card. I used one of the flowers in the set as the focal point.

Product Highlight- Stylish Stems Framelit Dies

I own a fair amount of Stampin' Up! products as you would expect, but I do not own everything. Well not yet anyway!

This little gem I had over looked, well sort of anyway. The first thing I thought was "Who needs another flower die??", then I moved on. That is until now! I've just seen the Stampin' Up! product video on this set. It has now moved from the "why both" list to my wish list. I had better get selling...

Pretty cute if you ask me. Personally I love the use of the negative image on cards.

Love is like a flower...

Just because a stamp set is made for a particular purpose, it does not mean that we have to use it as such. On this card, which uses Birthday Blooms, I have only used one of the flower images. I chose not to add any sentiment to my card so I can use it for almost any occasion.

I decided to fussy cut the image and pop it on Basic Black card stock to give it a little "pop".
