A colourful Christmas

Time to make some more Christmas cards. This time very non traditional. In fact I think that this is the brightest Christmas card I have ever done.

I am pretty pleased with how this turned out. Can't wait to do these in class. I wonder what colours my class members will choose?

Favourite Colour Combo- Crazy Crafters Blog Hop July

Thank you for joining us for another monthly Crazy Crafters Blog Hop. This month our theme is favourite colour combination.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Rosalie Desmond or may have come from the person previous to me in the list below. If you get off track at any time, the full line-up below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

Not sure if I have said this before on my blog, but I have most certainly said it in a number of forums, "I love brights!". For those of you that aren't familiar with the way Stampin' Up! categorises their colours, they place them in colour families. My all time favourite is brights. As the name suggests, these cover a range of bright colours.

The colours I used today are my two favourite colours, Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay. If I had a choice I would fill my world with this colour combination. It always make me feel happy.

For this card I used two stamp sets, Flowering Flourishes and Happy Birthday, Everyone.

Thank  you for joining us today. I hope you find lots of inspiration from the blogs in our hop.

Celebrate You

I love using my stamp sets in a slightly different way from how they were originally intended. I was playing with the leaves from the Sheltering Tree stamp set during class one day, then all of a sudden I had a thought.

Wouldn't this look amazing as a background!

I love these blues together, so used the same card stock as I did inks, in my background piece. Tempting Turquoise, Island Indigo and Bermuda Bay.

The sentiment for this is from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set. If you don't already own this set, I suggest that you take a look at it. It is one of my favourites to use for sentiments.

Thanks for visiting.

Hip-Hip Hooray!

Time for another challenge.

This time I am playing along with the Stamp Ink Paper Challenge (SIP challenge). This week it is a colour challenge.

While I love this colour combination, they aren't colours I usually use. What an excellent opportunity to create something a little different and focus on the men out there. I don't know about you but I have very few male cards in my stash which often leaves me in a rush when I need one.

I kept this card very simple using coordinating card stock and ink of real read, Bermuda Bay and Smokey Slate. I grabbed my gorgeous grunge stamp set to make the splotches and combined it with the "Hip-hip Hooray" sentiment from the Bravo set. Simply cut the card stock to size and punched out a few real red stars.

The sentiment Hip-hip Hooray I find very versatile. This card can be used as a congratulations, birthday or job well done. A great one to have on hand that can be used for most occasions.

Thank you for visiting.

Crazy Crafters Colour Combo Blog Hop

Thanks for joining The Crazy Crafters team blog hop. This is time we had to choose a combo of colours from the Stampin' Up! pintrest board for inspiration. There were so many to choose from. As it is the July/August period and this is a huge birthday time in my family, I thought I should combine creating for the Blog Hop and doing some of the birthday cards I need to do.

This is the picture which I took some inspiration from.

This is the tenth stop in our Colour Combo blog hop line. You should have just come from  Sue Wdowik at Nigh Nigh Birdie , if this is your first stop then you can work your way to every blog from here. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you the full hop.

My first creation uses the new stamp set in the 2014-2015 Annual Catalogue called Boys Will Be Boys. This was actually on the top of my wish list when I first saw the catalogue. My son loves robots and lego, so I knew I would use it. Just because the term "boys" is used in the naming of this set, doesn't mean that it can't be used for girls. This card has been designed as a birthday card for a young girl, change the colours and it could be for either gender.

In this card I've used a combination of Big News and Garden Party stamp sets, both are available in the current Annual Catalogue. I love the pretty little images in this stamp set, you can combine them in all sorts of ways.

This is my final card for this months Blog Hop, it uses the Be the Star stamp set. The group of small stars have been heat embossed in silver, to give the card that extra little something. I also used the star punch from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack Accents, punched out some Daffodil Delight card stock and raised them with dimensionals.

Stampin' Up Christmas

Yay for Friday! Hope that everyone has had a great week.

I decided that I needed to get a start on Christmas cards. Today I played with Winter Frost DSP which was in the holiday cataloge. I love the way it looks when you add a bit of silver.  Lucky for me I brought some silver ribbon when I placed the order for Winter Frost.
