Crazy Crafters June Blog Hop - Favourite New Product

Welcome to our June Blog Hop.

The new annual Stampin' Up! catalogue 2015-2016 started a few weeks ago so it is time for us to pick a favourite new products. With so many new stamp sets, pretty papers and other fun things to choose from, this was not an easy task. We hope you find great inspiration from the projects. Get your wish list ready!

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Rosalie Desmond or may have come from the person previous to me in the list below. If you get off track at any time, the full line-up below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

One of my latest favourite product is the Expressions Naturals Elements (p. 160). To my surprise my favourite product is an embellishment! These guys are cute little wooden words. Each pack contains 15 pieces, 5 in each of the 3 designs. "Congrats", "Thanks", and "Celebrate". These 3D greetings can pretty much cover most occasions.

This month I have combined the blog hop theme of "Favourite product" with my need to make an engagement card for tonight. I didn't want to make the card too flowery or girlie, but elegant. So I decided to make a centre step card, and use black and white with some sliver.

The side panels are from a new DSP stack called Neutral Colour Collection (p. 144). It is a stack of 40 Sheets of DSP in a range of colours. The colour I choose for this card was silver. It does look a lot like grey in this picture but looks pretty amazing in real life.

To make the embellishment in the centre of the ribbon I used a button from "designer very vintage" (p. 161) and embossed it in silver. I then cut out a circle using the owl builder punch and added a rhinestone. Pretty simple and very different.

The greeting on the front of the card is from the expressions naturals elements, which are actually a wooden colour. I simply heat embossed it in silver to obtain the colour I was after.

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don't want to miss. Remember that currently you are at my blog - Rosalie Desmond, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next in the list as you don't want to miss out on seeing one blog and the amazing inspiration.

Crazy Crafters Colour Combo Blog Hop

Thanks for joining The Crazy Crafters team blog hop. This is time we had to choose a combo of colours from the Stampin' Up! pintrest board for inspiration. There were so many to choose from. As it is the July/August period and this is a huge birthday time in my family, I thought I should combine creating for the Blog Hop and doing some of the birthday cards I need to do.

This is the picture which I took some inspiration from.

This is the tenth stop in our Colour Combo blog hop line. You should have just come from  Sue Wdowik at Nigh Nigh Birdie , if this is your first stop then you can work your way to every blog from here. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you the full hop.

My first creation uses the new stamp set in the 2014-2015 Annual Catalogue called Boys Will Be Boys. This was actually on the top of my wish list when I first saw the catalogue. My son loves robots and lego, so I knew I would use it. Just because the term "boys" is used in the naming of this set, doesn't mean that it can't be used for girls. This card has been designed as a birthday card for a young girl, change the colours and it could be for either gender.

In this card I've used a combination of Big News and Garden Party stamp sets, both are available in the current Annual Catalogue. I love the pretty little images in this stamp set, you can combine them in all sorts of ways.

This is my final card for this months Blog Hop, it uses the Be the Star stamp set. The group of small stars have been heat embossed in silver, to give the card that extra little something. I also used the star punch from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack Accents, punched out some Daffodil Delight card stock and raised them with dimensionals.
