Favourite Colour Combo- Crazy Crafters Blog Hop July

Thank you for joining us for another monthly Crazy Crafters Blog Hop. This month our theme is favourite colour combination.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Rosalie Desmond or may have come from the person previous to me in the list below. If you get off track at any time, the full line-up below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

Not sure if I have said this before on my blog, but I have most certainly said it in a number of forums, "I love brights!". For those of you that aren't familiar with the way Stampin' Up! categorises their colours, they place them in colour families. My all time favourite is brights. As the name suggests, these cover a range of bright colours.

The colours I used today are my two favourite colours, Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay. If I had a choice I would fill my world with this colour combination. It always make me feel happy.

For this card I used two stamp sets, Flowering Flourishes and Happy Birthday, Everyone.

Thank  you for joining us today. I hope you find lots of inspiration from the blogs in our hop.

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop Favorite Stamp Set

Thank you for joining the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop for October. This month we are show casing our favourite stamp set. Favourite stamp set sounded like an easy topic, until it came time to pick one. I love so many of them. One set did stand out as my favourite at the moment, it also happens to be my most recent purchase, Bloom with Hope.

For those of you that aren't familiar with this set, it is one of the hostess sets in the current Stanpin' Up! catalogue. I have it in clear and it comes in two cases. The sentiments which this set includes are focused both on "Happy Birthday" and also "With Sympathy".

I kept my card this month very simple. Black and white without the fuss.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you enjoy the rest of the blog hop.

How fabulous is this "Work of Art"

With only 9 more days until the 2014-2015 catalogue becomes live and orders can be placed, I thought its about time I gave you a peak and some of the cards I have been working on.

One of the wonderful things about being a demonstrator is being able to order some of the new items that little bit early. It gives you a chance to play and get to know the products.

Work of Art is the first one I've chosen to use. Now this new stamp set is an interesting one. It consists of 11 stamps and centres around a paint theme.

Work of Art (Wood 134111 $51.95 AUS, Clear 134114 $37.95 AUS)

It is very different from anything I have used before, so I wasn't sure what to do with it. So I did the usual, searched Pintrest. Lots of lovely cards there. I decided that I wanted to give it my own spin. I am not saying that my first efforts using this set have not been done by someone else before, I'm saying that I haven't seen these styles yet. Here is my first four cards using Work of Art.

I'm not too sure about my designs, but it was fun to play with. Let me know what you think or any ideas you have!

It is definitely a set which lends itself to being use to create quick and easy cards. I can also see myself incorporating this set with other stamp sets to make many other interesting designs. I think it would also be great set to use to make your very own background paper, but I will leave that for another day.
