CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE STAMPATHON 2018 - SKETCH

Welcome to the latest Christmas Challenge Stamp-a-thon.  This is a collaboration between four Stampin' Up! Demonstrators friends. Ruth Trice 'Artful Stampin' from the UK, Denise Garrison 'Lady Bug Stampin' from USA, Ellen Woodbridge from Australia and myself. . The Challenge is set on the 25th of the month, each month has a different theme. The challenge this month is to use the sketch to make at least 4 Christmas Cards.

When we use a sketch the shapes are not set in concrete, which means you are able to take the image of a circle and use a square, love heart or any other shape that works for your card. It is the same for the spacings, you may want more of the background colour poking through or less. Sketches can often help to guide us in creating.

Here are the cards I have made for this challenge.

This is the sketch for this month's challenge.

To make my cards for this month Challenge I’ve used a piece of paper from Under The Mistletoe Designer Series Paper. I love the fact that the paper has two sides with different images, so I was able to flip one of my strips and have two different patterns on the cards.

To see how I made these cards please refer to the video.

If you like my video or would like to encourage me to make them more often, subscribe to my channel.

Be inspired every month with our Christmas Challenge and come and join along.
Be in the draw by participating and gain tickets each month you join in. Prizes to be won in each region.

Thank you for stopping by,

Rosalie

Balloon Adventures - Mojo Monday 484

I really enjoyed joining in with this weeks Mojo Monday sketch.

I used the Balloon Adventures stamp set in combination with the Balloon Bouquet punch to create this cad. The squares were cut out with the stitched shapes framelits, I love how the stitched details on the framelits just give the card that little something extra.

Here is the sketch.

Strawberry Sketches #SS007

As you may know I do enjoy joining in with challenges when I get the time. The challenge this time comes from Strawberry Sketches #007.

Sketches are just a base from which to start. As in this one above, just because it shows a circle, it doesn't mean we have to use a circle, but we can if we choose to. It is all open to interpretation, we can rotate, replace or use it very literal.

It is my son's teachers' last day today as she is about to have a baby, so I thought I would use the sketch as a starting point for my card.

Baby Bear is a three step image. For this bear I used 3 shades of Bermuda Bay, which is created by stamping off on scratch paper.

Little Foxy Friends - Strawberry Sketches #005

There has been a little talk in the Crazy Crafters team about another fun challenge - Strawberry Sketches. Well, I just had to see what all the fuss was about and decided to join in with the latest challenge.

Here is this week's sketch.

This is what it inspired me to create.

This card was pretty quick to make. I just cut three strips of DSP (designer Series Paper) and stuck them down on a Pool Party card front. I then cut out four "Hello" thinlits from the Hello You set and stuck them together to give the sentiment some dimension, and then stuck that on the card front. I then popped the card front on a Calypso Coral card base, added a white centre and I was done.  But what a lovely way to use such pretty paper!

Cardstock: Pool Party (124391)
                  Calypso Coral (124392)
DSP:          A Little Foxy Designer Series Paper (141637)
Thinlits:     Hello You Thinlits (137363)
Tools:        Big Shot (143263)
                  Fine-Tip Glue Pen (138309)

You are, brilliant! - #GDP030

Today's inspiration comes from this weeks challenge at Global Design Project. The lovely Teneale Williams created this sketch.

Here is my entry.

#sweetlilthings

I used the Sweet li'l things DSP (designer series paper) with the Be the Star stamp set. I just love how the combination of watermelon wonder and very vanilla go together with just a touch of tip top taupe behind the sentiment.

Make sure you take a look at the other entries in this week's challenge for some more creative inspiration.
