Mojo Monday MOJO405

After having heaps of fun last week, I thought it was time to create with the sketch from Mojo Monday #405. This is the inspiration for this card.

This is my card for this weeks challenge. Once again I used the Birthday Blossoms stamp set. This time I not only used a sentiment from it, but also one of the flower images. I then used my blender pen and daffodil delight ink, to make the centres pop.

This is the stamp set Birthday Blossoms that I seemed to be using all the time lately.

To create the layers for the sentiment I used circle framelits in two different sizes which created the layering effect. The flowers use the Petite Petals Punch to punch out flowers in matching colours. I then used  Brights collection candy dots used for the centre of the flowers.

I hope you find this card inspirational. Maybe next week you may play along with Mojo Monday and I can be inspired by your creations as well.

Rose

Another sketch challenge- this time for Aussie Crafters

Once more I decided to step outside my comfort zone and try something new. This time the challenge was designed by a different group, Aussie Crafters.

I have only just recently joined the Aussie Crafters Facebook group. This group is open to people from Australia who do all types of craft. They have a new swap, challenge and sketch each month. They are open to every level of crafters from beginners to advanced. I have found it a great place to get inspiration. Every person has their very own way of crafting, so this is exposing me to so many different styles.

This was the sketch for February.

This was my entry for this challenge. It was certainly very different from my normal creations.

Loving the butterfly

Today I needed a quick card at the last minute. The kids have not long started back at school and life still seems to be crazy busy, so a quick but pretty card was needed.

This card uses the Butterfly Basics stamp set which is one of my favourites out of the 2015 Occasions catalogue. The ferns were stamped with old olive, three times without reinking. I love this technique. It allows one ink pad to make so many different shades.
