NO BONES ABOUT IT - Global Design Project

Colours are the magic of life. Sometimes having a little inspiration gives you the right push to craft. While I was looking for inspiration I came across this week's Global Design Project Colour Challenge.

The colours inspired me to make a Dino Birthday Card.

One of the things I love about the combination of colours they have used this week in Global Design Project is that I find them neither girlie or boy, but neutral in their tones.

Measurements:

Calypso Coral Card Base 29.6 x 10.5cm, scored at 14.8cm
Basic Black Layer 13.5 x 10cm
Whisper White Layer 10.5 x 10.5cm
Whisper White Sentiment Layer 2.6 x 4.5cm

To order any of the products used to make my project, go to my SHOP NOW button on the side bar which will take you to my online store.

I run regular classes from the Western suburbs of Melbourne. I can show you how to make this, or any other project at your own party, which can either be held online via Facebook or in person. Contact me to arrange a time and to learn more about the benefits of being a hostess at your own party.

Thank you for stopping by,
Rosalie

GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT #083

It has been awhile since I have joined in on a challenge. This week's theme at the Global Design Project http://www.global-design-project.com/2017/04/global-design-project-083-theme.htmltheme I thought would be an interesting one to join.

This is my entry.

I used Gold embossing as my sparkly bling to suit this week's theme.

I used the Garden In Bloom stamp set to create a golden scene. I then used straight reinkers and a paint brush to colour the flowers and the butterfly. I used Garden Green, Rose Red, Crushed Curry and Perfect Plum for my colours. The background of the picture is created by sponging Soft Sky and then using the splatter stamp from Timeless Textures, in both Soft Sky and stamped off Rose Red. I used this same stamp in Perfect Plum on my card base to give it a little texture as well.

Thank you for joining me today. Feel free to leave a comment.

LOVE SPARKLES - INSPIRED BY FAIRY FLOSS

I am joining in with this weeks Global Design Project Challenge. This weeks theme is Amusement Park.

With this is mind, my card is inspired by fairy floss.

To create the background I used Rose Red reinker in a spritzer with some water and sprayed it on Whisper White cardstock. The background reminded me of pretty pink of fairy floss. I then put some rubbing alcohol and some clear wink of stella in a spritz bottle and sprayed it on the background to give it a sparkle. I used the splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge in Rose Red to add a little more texture to the card. "Celebrate" from the Love Sparkles stamp set was then stamped on a small piece of Whisper White in Rose Red. I cut out two of the small images from the Sunshine Wishes Die and added them to the card.

My lovely friend Ellen, thought my card would look better on a Pink Pirouette card base, so this is for her.

I hope you see the yummy, sugary colours of fairy floss in my card just like I do.

Thank you for joining me today,
Rosalie

GIFT OF LOVE #GDP077

A colour challenge is always good for my creativity. It helps give me some direction. Today I am creating using the colour challenge from the Global Design Project.

A simple card for any occasion.

The Gift of Love Stamp Set which is one of the hostess sets in the 2016-2017 Annual Catalogue produces lovely cards using a delicate flower design. The colouring of both the leaves and the flowers are actually stamps which are part of this set.

Here is the colour challenge I used with my colour of choice - Soft Sky, which I used on the Whisper White background to give the look of sky behind the flower.

Thank you for joining me today,
Rosalie

Love Sparkles - Global Design Project #076

I am very excited by this week's Global Design Project. This week is a CASE and I love the layout, so it became the inspiration for my card.

As soon as I saw the layout I knew I wanted to use the dot from Layered Letters Alphabet and then run it through the Petal Burst Embossing Folder.

I used the labels and tags framelits to layer up my sentiment which was "Cheers" from the Love Sparkles stamp set. I then used fine tipped glue and Dazzleing Diamonds.
"Cheers" is a very versatile sentiment - birthday, congratulations, hello. The works. So Cheers to you today.

Here is the card I CASEd.

FAIRY CELEBRATION MEETS IRRESISTIBLY FLORAL

Joining in with this week's Global Design Project - Theme: Winged Creatures

My first thought with this weeks theme was to use a butterfly, dragonfly or maybe even a bird. I even went as far as pulling out the Picture Perfect stamp set and then thought...Fairies!!!

Here is what I came up with using the Fairy Celebration stamp set.

Once again I have used Irresistibly Floral Designer Series Paper, if you have been following my blog you have most likely seen it a number of times recently. This time I added Bermuda Bay, Early Expresso, Peekaboo Peach and Daffodil Delight.

My final touch was to add some Fine-tipped Glue to the cherries to give them a little gloss.

Copper Delight - with Birthday Blooms

Every day I seem to be amazed with all the different designs we can make with just a bit of paper, ink and glue. I hope you like the project I am sharing with you today.

I used the smaller flower image from the Birthday Blooms and embossed it many times on the blushing bride mat. Added a banner of copper foil and one of very vanilla with another copper embossed flower. This time I coloured the petals using a Blushing Bride Stampin' Write Marker. I wrapped some copper metallic thread and a blushing bride heart from the subtles enamel shapes.

Here is the sketch I used from Global Design Project.

The colours are from The Paper Players colour challenge.

Pop Up Easel Card

I decided today that I would combine two blog challenges and enter again in  this week's Global Design Project colour challenge and enter the Just Add Ink challenge.

While looking through a facebook group called Stampin' Café, I came across some cards made by Jennifer Lane. Jennifer's cards inspired me to create today. Jennifer made a couple of cards using a fold called Pop Up Easel Card. She found the instructions on Debbie Henderson's YouTube video, which you can find here.

Here is what these lovely ladies inspired me to create.

The background paper was the Irresistibly Floral Speciality Paper, coloured with Daffodil Delight.
I then used the Watercolor Wings stamp set for my focal point and my sentiment, and the Perpetual Birthday Calendar for the hearts.  I popped some clear Wink of Stella on the butterfly wings to give it a touch of sparkle.

Here are the two challenges I went in today.
