PETAL PALETTE BUNDLE

One of the fun things about buying bundles is that you know that the images of both the stamp set and the thinlits will always work well together as they have been designed to match. For me, this takes a lot of the thought process away.

For this card I stayed with soft colours - matching Brushing Bride with Crumb Cake and added Chocolate Chip to give a little pop to the base and the sentiment. I used the smallest flower in the Petal Palette to softly create a background. I used a thinlit from Petals & More thinlits to add some corner interest, which is simply cut out of Crumb Cake cardstock.

I added a touch of colour to the body of the bird by using a Blushing Bride Stampin' Write Marker.

BEAUTIFUL DAY - BUTTERFLY

This stamp set lends itself to being coloured. I pulled out my Stampin' Blends and went to work. I love the way these alcohol markers go on so smoothly as it makes the job of colouring quick and easy.

Firstly,  I stamped the two butterfly images directly on the front of my card base, then used the blends to colour. I then fussy cut around the edge to create the look I was after. On the inside of the card I placed a 3.5cm strip of daffodil delight cardstock that I had stamped with using an image from Playful Backgrounds using the same colour ink, to create some interest.

I am not skilled or trained in blending with alcohol markers but I am pleased with how this has turned out.

Measurements:
Thick Whisper WhiteCard Base 21 x 20cm, scored at 10.5cm
Daffodil Delight strip 14.9 x 3.5cm

A LITTLE BIRDY

Always love a colour challenge to get the creative juices flowing, For todays project I turned to a Facebook colour challenge group - Stampin' Up! Color Challenge. January's colours are:

This colour challenge inspired me to pull out the Petal Palette stamp set and ink it up. I love using Pear Pizazz for leaves, so this set instantly sprung to mind when I saw this months challenge.

For this card I wanted the little bird from the Petal Palette to sit in a tree. To create the feeling of the bird being nestled in the tree rather than just sitting on a branch I decided to fussy cut a couple of the leave branches and put them on dimensionals to create a fuller looking tree.

I gabbed the bird just a touch of colour using a blender pen and Bermuda Bay ink.

Measurements:

Chocolate Chip Card Base 21 x 20cm, scored at 10.5cm
Flirty Flamingo Layer 9.7 x 14.2cm
Bermuda Bay Layer 9.5 x 14cm

STAMPIN' DREAMS BLOG HOP - LOVE THEME

Welcome to the monthly Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop. This month's theme is LOVE. You are currently visiting Rosalie Desmond from Australia. I hope you like my card.

I used the heart stamp in this set to create a boarder inside the card.

The moment I saw the Bird Banter stamp set I knew I wanted to make the Buggies into love bird silhouettes. I love it when I look at a set and instantly have ideas and in this case I am happy with the results.

Once I stamped the two bird images out, I then used the Basic Black Stampin' Write marker to colour the inside of the image. A nice and simple way to create a different look with stamps.

ALL OCCASIONS WITH PETAL PALETTE BUNDLE

I like to have some all occasions cards in my stash that I can use for anything. I find by not having a sentiment, it often makes a card more versatile. This one could be used for a birthday, thank you, thinking of you, get well or even just because, depending on what I hand write in the center.

I used one of  the smaller floral images and stamped them in a line to create the background image. The Bermuda Bay strip was run through the Big Shot using one of the embossing folders from Petal Pair Textured Impressions (145656) from the 2018 Occasions Catalogue.

I then used the same style as the background for the inside of the card.

I added a little colour to the images by using a blender pen, Bermuda Bay, Pear Pizzazz and Flirty Flamingo ink.

Measurements:
Chocolate Chip Card Base 21 x 20cm, scored at 10.5cm
Very Vanilla Layer 9.5 x 14cm
