Thanks for being there- #GDP008

This week is CASE (Copy And Share Everything) the designer at Global Design Project. This weeks inspiration is a lovely card made for this challenge by Kylie Bertucci.

After seeing Kylie's card I instantly came up with this idea. I took inspiration from her idea of making a thank you card and the colours she used.

In the inside I decided to continue the theme of the butterfly I used on the front of my card.

The bordering blooms stamp was used to dress up the top and the bottom of the front. This was stamped using versamark, clear embossing powder added and then heated to set and raise. The wooden "thanks" is from the expressions naturals elements. It was coloured in using Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write marker. The true colour has not come out very well in these pictures, but it colours up a nice cherry cobbler colour.

Tip: Clear embossing powder can often be used to give an elegant touch without adding another colour to your project.

Thank you for stopping by,

    1. You should see me preparing for class.

An open heart is a brand new stamp set for me. I tend to plan out a few cards while waiting for the delivery. I just choose the colours and sentiment to suit the challenge. Makes it super fast when you already know what you want to do.

  2. First of all, I am blown away that you could create a card so quickly as the challenge only posted hours ago. Fabulous card, I can see the inspiration from Kylie's card.

    1. You should see my desk Teneale, I have pre-cut card stock everywhere from classes I ran last week. So many shades of red, green and yellow (gotta love the crafting lead up to Christmas). Makes it pretty quick to create just hard to find a spare inch to stamp.

    2. Thank you Jess. Now to design some cards using the cute little bird from the set. I really need to get some more Christmas cards done, I wonder if I can combine the two.
