CRAZY CRAFTERS BLOG HOP WITH LEA DENTON

Welcome once again to a Crazy Crafters Blog Hop. This time we are CASEing (Copy And Selectively Edit) any project that has been created by Lea Denton. I am so excited to have Lea joining us today, her work is absolutely amazing. You should check out her blog. We hope you find great inspiration from todays projects.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Rosalie Desmond or may have come from the person previous to me. Be sure to click on the person listed under me further down the page to continue your journey on this blog hop.

Here is what Lea inspired me to make today. I had a purpose in mind when making this card. A friend has recently been ill and I wanted to wish her well. The sentiment "Sending Wishes Your Way" can be used for so many different events, in this case as a Get Well sentiment.

This is Lea's card that I CASED. I used the concept of using beautiful colours and using emboss resist to create my card. I also Used a similar layout and turned it  portrait rather than landscape.

I sponged Blushing Bride, Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party and Peekaboo Peach on a clear embossed image from Lovely As A Tree to create my image. The sentiment is from Butterfly Basics. I then added some metallic enamel shapes to finish it off.

Thank you for joining me today. I hope you enjoy the remainder of the blog hop,
Rosalie

Just because...

Today I am playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches #199 challenge.

I decided to take a masculine approach to this sketch. I always have trouble making cards for men, so thought I would use this opportunity to give it a whirl.

I used sahara sand cardstock for the card base, stamped in chocolate chip ink, added some chocolate chip card to the bottom, then stamped my sentiment on very vanilla cardstock.

I love the sentiment on this card, you will find the "just because" sentiment in the A Dozen Thoughts stamp set. The main imagine is from "Lovely as a Tree" set. This set is a versatile set which I have used more times than I can count.

I used a shadowing effect for this card. I created it by double stamping without reinking. When you do the second stamp, you slightly move where the image is, to give an illusion of a forest of trees.

Mojo Monday MOJO410

Not enough time in the day and sometimes not enough inspiration while we have time. There is a solution for this - challenges!

Today I have taken the sketch for this week's Mojo Monday challenge to produce my card.

In fact I liked this card so much that I used it  for my classes this week. Once again I have stuck with my all time favourite colour combination- black and white.

I love the stamp set "Lovely as a tree". I find it can be used for so many different occasions, which is what I love.

Thanks for visiting. If you get a chance, take a look at the Mojo Monday blog and see all the different creations that have been inspired by this week's sketch.
