Using a sketch to create

So I decided  I would try something new - a sketch challenge.

I've seen sketches for cards and scapbooking pages all over Pintrest, but had never given one a go before. This was my first time following a sketch and my first time doing a challenge.

This was the Art with Heart creative team challenge. Here was the sketch I followed.

Crazy Crafters December Blog Hop

Thank you for joining me for our December Blog Hop. This month we are showcasing projects using Designer Series Paper, or DSP as it is also known.

I love DSP as many of them are so pretty. I'm very good at buying them, but not so great at using them. So for me this month's theme has been a challenge, pushing me outside my comfort zone. I'm hoping this will mean that I will start to incorporate DSP into my natural crafting. It will certainly help when I browse through the other blogs in the hop.

I decided that I would make a box with a matching card using both sides of a sheet of DSP from the Back to Black set, which is in the current annual catalogue. I even created my own embellishment using the paper and a simple floral black button from the neutrals button collection from the same catalogue.

Thank you for joining us on the Crazy Crafter Blog Hop. I hope you enjoy the rest of your journey.
