Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Sarah Berry

Welcome once again to a Crazy Crafters Blog Hop. This time we are CASEing (Copy And Selectively Edit) any project that has been created by Sarah Berry. When you get a chance take a look at Sarah's blog. We hope you find great inspiration from todays projects.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Rosalie Desmond or may have come from the person previous to me.  Be sure to click on the person listed under me further down the page to continue your journey on this blog hop.

For today's blog hop I choose this cute little card that Sarah made for the 6th Hello! Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue 2016-2017 Blog Hop back in July,

Here is one of the cards that her cute creation inspired me to make.

I used a layer of fine-tip glue to create a shine and add some depth to the petals of the flowers on this card.

Markers for mushroom fairy

Crushed Curry
Blushing Bride
Rich Razzleberry
Sahara Sand
Emerald Envy
Sweet Sugarplum
Wild Wasabi
Crumb cake

This is another card I made using the same design and stamp set.

I used a layer of fine-tip glue to create a shine and add some depth to the cherries on this card.

Markers for tree fairy

Real Red
Crumb cake
Wild Wasabi
Cajun Craze
Pumpkin Pie
Crushed Curry
Peekaboo Peach

Tip: To colour images you have a few choices. You can use markers as I have in these, use blender pens with your inkpads or use reinkers with a Aqua pen. My biggest tip, is to use what you have. I tend to favour the use of a blender pen as it allows me not only use the inks I have but shades of those colours as well.

Stamp Set:  Fairy Celebration (141551)
Inks:          Memento Black (132708)
Cardstock: Peekaboo Peach (141422)
                  Sweet Sugar Plum (141423)
                  Sahara Sand (121695)
DSP:         Irresistibly Floral Designer Series Paper (141644)
                  (which was coloured using inks)
Other:       Fine-Tip Glue Pen (138309)

    1. Fairy Celebration is a great set. I used these cards recently in a class, with members that aren't very keen on colouring, but they loved these little girls.

  6. Absolutely Adorable Rosalie, Your colouring/shading is beautiful. I think I may just have to purchase this Stamp Set after all. The way you have CASEd Sarah's card is brilliantly done. It is as if this stamp set was waiting for you to put them on this design and size card :)

  17. Rosalie your cards are gorgeous - I love the way you have offset the layers, it creates interest and really draws your eye to the fairy image - your colouring is beautiful and really love the double banner on the second card xx

    1. Thanks Leisa. The original plan was to have two banners on both, but the image on the mushroom is larger than the one on the tree, so it didn't fit.
