Welcome once again to a Crazy Crafters Blog Hop. This time we are CASEing (Copy And Selectively Edit) any project that has been created by Dawn Olchefske. When you get a chance, take a look at her amazing creations. We hope you find great inspiration from todays projects.
You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Rosalie Desmond or may have come from the person previous to me. Be sure to click on the person listed under me further down the page to continue your journey on this blog hop.
With so many wonderful projects to choose from it was hard to decide which to CASE this time. One project in particular did stand out however, this card was made with a technique called Craft Sheet Stamping.
It actually wasn't the technique that I CASEd, it was in fact the colours, set and the layout that I used for inspiration this time.
This is what I came up with after perusing her blog.
This time you get two projects in one - a card and a matching treat bag.
I had heaps of fun making these. I started by making the treat bag, for something a little different. It was actually the first time I pulled the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits out of their packet. Its such an easy item to put together, a little glue and you are there. I stamped the whisper white before I popped the bag together for this project. I popped the "for you" sentiment over the ribbon, which is one of the thinlits that belongs to the Mini Treat bag set.
I then decided that it needed a matching card. So in keeping with the same theme as the bag I used the top of the mini treat bag thinlit to cut the top and then the bottom of my card front. It was a little fiddley but I do love the way it turned out.
To make it a little easier, I have made a short video to show you how to make the zig zag top.
