COLOURING SHIMMER PAINT

My Great Niece's 4th birthday was coming up, so what better time to start playing with shimmer paint.

Of course it needed to be special, so I couldn't just simply add some to paint and rubbing alcohol and mist (which actually does look amazing). I stepped it up a notch and added some colour using re-inker.

While Shimmer paint a returning product for Stampin' Up! I had never used it before. I was surprised with just how lovely the shimmer turned out and how easy it was to give the card that extra WOW!! I can't wait to use it again.

FAIRY CELEBRATION - SILHOUETTE

I love playing with stamp sets in a whole new way, this card is an example of thinking outside the norm.

It is a very simple technique- called colouring. Yep, that is it! I coloured in the fairy image using a Basic Black Stampin' Write marker and TA DA!! design done.

Measurements:

Basic Black Card Base 29.6 x 10.5cm, scored at 14.8cm
Whisper White Layer 13.9 x 9.5cm
Scrap of Basic Black and Whisper White for ovals

With such amazing work to CASE I really enjoyed making the projects that I am sharing with you today.

This is the card in particular that I got today's inspiration from.

I used the opportunity to have a play with the new Window Box Thinlint Dies (142762 p.43) from the 2017 Occasions Catalogue.

I love to have a matching card with my boxes, to me it is one of things I love about making my own.

The pops of colour were created by using the new Stampin' Up! Watercolour Pencils (141709 p.24) and blender pen to produce the look. I then added a touch of Wink of Stella to add some shimmer to my fairy.
