Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Bibi Cameron

Time sure does fly, its time for another Crazy Crafters Blog Hop. Today we have the lovely Bibi Cameron joining us. For those of you that don't know, Bibi is a demonstrator from the UK. She not only has a blog for us to gain inspiration from but also has a YouTube channel in which she often shares tutorials and ideas. Thanks Bibi.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Rosalie Desmond or may have come from the person previous to me.  Be sure to click on the person listed under me further down the page to continue your journey on this blog hop.

With so many projects to choose from, it was hard to decide which project I would focus on. One blog entry did stand out for me, a card she entered into a sketch challenge with TGIF using the Fairy Celebration stamp set. Bibi used aqua painters to water colour the image. Absolutely beautiful as you can see below.

Sometimes when we CASE, we are taken in whole new direction. This was one of those times.

My project today does not use water colour, nor does it use washi tape. It's not even a card.
So you may ask yourself, how was I inspired?

One of the elements that stood out for me when I looked at Bibi's card, was the pop of red on the cherries. I used this element and based today's project around it.

To create my box I simply cut out the box using my Big Shot. Stamped using versamark and heat embossed the image in Copper. I used a Real Red Stampin' Write marker to colour the cherries. Then I glued the box together and added some Real Red ribbon to make a bow on the handle.

Quick, simple but yet effective!

I just love these cute little boxes. Great for any occasion and so simple to put together.

Post It Cover

Last weekend I had a market stall at my local community centre. I made lots of bits and pieces of papercraft to go on my stall. One popular item was these cute little post it note covers I made.

To decorate my covers I used a range of colours of cardstock and double sided paper (DSP).

Stamp Set: Love You Lots
DSP: Pop of Pink
Cardstock: Real Red

The internet is full of tutorials on how to make these so I won't bore you with yet another explanation. If you are wanting to make some, just google "post it note cover tutorial" and heaps will be available. Just make sure that the one you choose fits the size post-it-note that you have.

Thank you for stopping by,

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Julie Davison

Welcome once again to a Crazy Crafters Blog Hop. This time we are CASEing (Copy And Selectively Edit) any project that has been created by Julie Davison. We hope you find great inspiration from todays projects.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Rosalie Desmond or may have come from the person previous to me.  Be sure to click on the person listed under me further down the page to continue your journey on this blog hop.

As usual choosing just one project to CASE was a challenge. Julie is a Stampin' Up! demonstrator located in the US. She has created a huge amount of free PDF and videos tutorials for anyone to use. Make sure you take the time to check out Julie's blog for crafting inspiration.

After exploring her blog for hours (yes, there are heaps of amazing projects), I used this to CASE.

Here is one of the cards I came up with, with a loving theme.

This first one uses Pop of Pink DSP and Love You Lots stamp set to create a simple loving card. I used just touches of real red in the ribbon, the sentiment and a little colour on the flower.

I took the theme of the hedgehog and popped the image in the centre and a very small strip of the DSP.

Stamp Set:  Lots of Love (141798)

Inks:           Real Red (126949)
                   Memento Black (132708)

Cardstock:  Basic Black (121688)
                   Whisper White (106549)

Ribbon:       3/8" Stitched Satin Real Red (141693)

On these cards I decided to use twine instead of ribbon to give a slightly different look. Same basic design but stepped up a little by popping the sentiment. All stamps on this card are from the Perfectly Wrapped stamp set.

The DSP used for these cards are a specialty paper which comes white and which I then used ink to colour it. This one uses Bermuda Bay ink to colour the DSP.

On this one I used Tempting Turquoise.

I kept the inside of the card pretty simple, so it can be used for a variety of occasions. The spotted stamp is also from the Perfectly Wrapped stamp set.
