Time for another birthday!

Birthday cards are my most used cards and my stash is looking very bare, so today it was time for yet another one. Sometimes simple is best.

I decided to use my theme on the outside and carry it over to the inside. I used the pink glimmer paper in the 2016 Occasions catalogue for some of my balloons and one out of melon mambo cardstock.

The sentiment is from Perfect Pairings which is available for free with every $90 spent during this years sale-a-bration period.

A sparkling wish

Today I had a play with Party Wishes stamp set, which is available in the 2016 Occasions Catalogue.

I love how this set combines images and sentiments, so there is no need to use more than one set unless you want to.

Although it is not clear in the picture I added a touch of sparkle to the "make a wish" sentiment and also on the top of the cupcake.

Using the wink of stella glitter brush makes adding that special touch easy. Take a look at this video to see just how easy it is to use.

Love warms my heart - #GDP019

I don't tend to make many lovey cards unless there is an occasion, but today was different. All of a sudden I started thinking about the sheltering tree stamp set. Then I thought about card that I made last year using the butterflies from the perpetual birthday calendar set, and thought - the love hearts would make a change from the leaves of the tree.

This is what I came up with.

One of the things I love about card making and paper craft is that there is no rule to say that everything must be lifelike. So shades of blue heart shaped images is fine to use in place of leaves.

And what's love without a little glitter. I used the clear Wink of Stella Brush to add a little sparkle to the heart.

So why a love theme twice in one week? Well, I was still inspired by this week's theme from Global Design Project. So this is my second entry. I hope you take the time to check out all the other lovely entries and maybe you may even join in next week.

Love is...so sweet!

My inspiration for today's card comes from this week's challenge at Global Design Project.

Love!!!

Now thinking of my love and what he loves. Stampin' Up! are yet to do a Nutella stamp, so I went with icecream. Chocolate of course!

Now since icecream is so special, this called for special treatment. I put crystal effects on "LOVE" and the icecream, giving it that little pop I was looking for.

Please note: This card uses the Honeycomb Happiness stamp set from the 2016 Sale-a-bration catalogue. During Sale-a-bration (5 January - 31 March 2016) for every $90 AUD/$110 NZD you spend (before shipping and handling), you get a FREE Sale-A-Bration product. Remember that it is one free item for every $90 you spend, so if you spend $180 you can choose two Sale-a-Bration items free.

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with our speical guest - Connie Stewart

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop for November. This month we are focusing on Sale-a-Bration products. We hope you find great inspiration from the projects.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Rosalie Desmond or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup towards the bottom, will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

This month we have another guest stamper - Connie Stewart!!! I can't believe how lucky we are to have her joining us on our hope today. Thank you so much Connie for joining us today. Her designs and tutorials are such an inspiration. If you are not familiar with Connie's blog, I suggest you put it on your to-do list, once you have finished hopping. Once again a huge thank you goes out to Kylie Bertucci  for giving the Crazy Crafters this opportunity.

For today's card I have teamed up one of my favoritue stamp sets - Gorgeous Grunge, with a new Sale-a-Bration set - Botanicals for you.

Botanicals for you is available for free during sale-a-bration when you spend $90. I love this set. The sentiment is big and bold, while the floral accents contrast in size.

For this card I have only used the sentiment from Botanicals for you as I am needing a male card so I did not add the flowers but decided to grab some splotches from gorgeous grunge.

Botanical Blooms Bundle video

I always love it when new Stampin' Up! catalogues come out as I get new products to play with. One of my favourite bundles from the 2016 Occasions catalogue is the Botanical Blooms bundle.

Stamp set and matching framelits. What more could a girl want? A pop up flower, that's what.

Take a look at the video and check out this bundle.

Sale-a-Bration is What I Love!

As it is Sale-a-Bration time I thought it was about time I showed you some of the amazing products that you can get for free, just by placing an order of $90 or more.

This is one of my favourite sets - What I love. There is certainly lots to love about this stamp set. Triple stamping, or layer stamping is one of the easiest ways to create a multi-coloured image.

This set not only has these really cute flowers, but also has a couple of nice sentiments to compliment it.

A special card - Just for You

I am absolutely loving these free products that are available during Sale-a-bration. This is the time of the year when I stock up on my adhesives and double check my card stock, to maximise my freebies and make the most of my money. It is during this time that we are given the opportunity to choose free products with orders over $90 and on top of that, gain extra hostess rewards!!

This card uses one of the free sets that are available in the Sale-a-bration catalogue - Botanicals For You.

I chose to emboss the sentiment in gold, to give it an extra special touch.

And many more...

Today's card uses one of the free Sale-a-bration sets - Perfect Pairing.

A stamp set with just sentiments in it is always handy, and even better when it is free. During the Stampin' Up! sale-a-bration period you can earn one free product from the sale-a-bration catalogue for every $90 you spend!

I used an Aqua painter to create a water wash background to stamp on. This is a really simple technique. All you need to do is grab some ink (the colour is up to you) with the Aqua Painter and scribble on the card stock you wish to colour. Waited a few minutes for it to dry, stamped my sentiment, then punched and placed the balloons. It is that simple!

Pretty as a picture

I loved this set when I first saw the occasions catalogue, but after using it I am totally wowed! Picture Perfect must be one of the cutest sets around.

When making handmade cards, don't forget to add something special to the inside.

I am not usually an orange kinda girl, but I wanted to see what the rose would look like in Tangerine Tango. I love it! Can't wait to have time to play with this in some different colours.

Here is a short video to give you some ideas of how to use this set.

Today we celebrate you!

I've been on a roll with this stamp set this week. I do love the versatility of Enjoy the Little Things from the 2016 Occasions Catalogue.

This time I decided to go with a blue theme and utilise one of the square stamps to create my own special background.

This card design could just as easily be made girlie by simply changing the colours, or you could even give it a rainbow effect by changing the colour each time you stamp the background. I may even do one tomorrow to show you how it comes up.

Celebrate Every day

Following on from yesterday, I have used the same DSP stack with the same stamp set. Enjoy the Little Things is a great combination with the Love Blossoms DSP. If you seen the new 2016 Occasions catalogue I suggest take a look as there are some amazing new products

This time I decided to gold emboss my sentiment to make it "pop" off the page.

Big Dreams!

I have been in the craft room this week  playing with Enjoy the Little Things stamp set and the Love Blossoms DSP.

I am loving this DSP stack. Today I chose a Crumb Cake based piece, and combined it with other neutrals.
