ESAD 2016 Holiday Catalogue Favourite Products Blog Hop

I hope you are enjoying all the gorgeous projects in the ESAD 2016 Holiday Favourite Products Blog Hop.

I wonder what everyone will choose as their favourite product. You may have come from the wonderful  Delys Cram or be starting the hop here with me.

What a topic we have for you this hop. With so many amazing products in this catalogue it was sure hard to narrow it down to just one. I chose the Sweet Home Bundle. The bundle consists of a stamp set and some thinlits. The thinlits make a gorgeous little 3D box.

With Christmas fast approaching I decided that it was time to start making some decorations for my tree. I wanted to stay clear of the traditional red and green this time, and work with Pink Pirouette, Soft Sky, Whisper White and silver.

I used silver embossing powder on the doors and a touch of silver glimmer paper over the door and on the roof, to give a touch of sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you are enjoying the blog hop. Don't forget to check them all out. Now on to Cathy Pinchbeck's blog. I wonder what her favourite product will be??

This is amazing project was my inspiration for today. I just love everything about this card, the layers, the sponged framelits, everything!

Cindy's card inspired me to make this creation.

Although it is not clear in the photo, both the reindeer and the bow are coloured by sponging on Whisper White card stock, which allowed me to add some texture to the image by using different shades of ink.

A Big Thank You - Fab Friday #100

I was looking on the internet for some inspiration and typed in "Stampin' Up Challenge" and found this week's Fab Friday colour challenge which took my eye. Can you believe they are up to number 100!!! What better time to join in!

Here is the challenge.

These colours lead me to create today's card.

I sponged Delightful Dijon and a little Mint Macaron on a piece of Irresistibly Floral Speciality DSP to create the main background of my card.

If you aren't familiar with this DSP, it is a dream to work with. It starts off white and you add your own colour. This can be done by using a sponge, a dauber, a brayer or simply wiping an ink pad directly to the DSP. Each pack has 6 different designs with 12 pieces in total.

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Amy Koenders

Welcome once again to a Crazy Crafters Blog Hop. This time we are CASEing (Copy And Selectively Edit) any project that has been created by Amy Koenders. When you get a chance, take a look at her amazing blog. We hope you find great inspiration from todays projects.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Rosalie Desmond or may have come from the person previous to me.  Be sure to click on the person listed under me further down the page to continue your journey on this blog hop.

I just couldn't go past this awesome card. It uses Moroccan DSP (141645)  and my new favourite stamp,  Stylized Birthday stamp (141828). If you wish to read in more detail about how this lovely card was made, click here.

My stash is severely lacking gender neural cards, so I have taken this opportunity to make something that fits this criteria. This is what I was inspired to create.

I also need cards that I can use for many different occasions. Versatility often needed as when I do need a card, I do not necessarily have time to make one, right then and there. I guess this is one of the reasons I love having a stash of cards on hand. So I chose to use "enjoy your day" sentiment from the Badges & Banners Stamp Set. I did not use as many layers as Amy but I am still very happy with the outcome.

Stamp Set:      Banners & Badges (141610)
DSP:               Neutrals Designer Series Paper stack (138435)
Card stock:     Basic Black (121688)
                       Whisper White (106549)
Framelits:       Layering Circles (141705)

Thank you for stopping by I hope you enjoy the blog hop,

Love is like a flower...

Just because a stamp set is made for a particular purpose, it does not mean that we have to use it as such. On this card, which uses Birthday Blooms, I have only used one of the flower images. I chose not to add any sentiment to my card so I can use it for almost any occasion.

I decided to fussy cut the image and pop it on Basic Black card stock to give it a little "pop".

I've decided to enter todays card in Crazy Crafters Team Highlights this week. The team highlights are hosted by Kylie Bertucci. If you like my card and want to vote for it, please follow this link and vote after 7pm AEST. Also take a look at the other wonderful projects made by some Crazy Crafters.

Global Design Project #061 - Colour Challenge

I was looking for some inspiration today so decided to join in with this week's Global Design Challenge. This is the latest challenge.

What a wonderful colour combination we have to play with this week. I walked into my craft space, took a quick look and decided to pull out a brand new stamp set from my last order - Birthday Blooms (140658).

This is the card that I came up with.

I used a Basic Black to mat the image and then used dimentionals and placed it on a Sweetsugar Plum card base.

I used a blender pen (102845) and inks to colour in the largest flower from the Birthday Blooms Stamp Set.

UPDATE: This card was a special mention at Global Design Project.

Thanks for stopping by I hope you take the opportunity to look at all the other lovely entries for this week's Global Design Challenge,
